EMPTY ROOM

I realized earlier tonight that comments may be sparser than usual around here. Trevor is here in Chicago for the Pitchfork Festival and then is going to Colorado for some vacation. Jeff is busy being a brand-new dad (and congrats again!). LTR hasn't posted to his own blog in about a month, though I enjoyed that Futurama promo for Al Gore's movie. I haven't seen Dan around these parts in quite a while. And as for my brother, his roommates are having computer problems so his access has been limited; I did spy a new blog entry as his site today, which means maybe those problems are changing.

I need to find a way to expand my readership...coupons? consistent posts? actual content? How do I become the next blogging sensation, empty room?

[Silence]

Okay then.

I'm still here, too. I've got you on Bloglines so I read when I see an update.

Currently reading: the back of my eyelids. Currently listening: the greatest hits of the Graco Baby Swinger. And the damn good new Long Winters CD, a band moving up very close to the top of my ever-changing these days favorites list.

I know you guys are still there and I truly appreciate it. I was mainly musing out loud about needing to find a way to expand my audience. And to give my few faithful readers a shout-out.

LTR - I still need to get to the new Saunders collection and the 3rd volume of Seven Soldiers. I don't think Morrison has ever disappointed me.

Jeff - When Grant was young it used to take him forever to drink his bottle, so I would rent movies and could watch one over the course of two bottle feedings. That was about all I could manage to focus on. Well, that and Sports Center.

I feel a separate Long Winters post coming in the near future too...

Are you talking about Ultimatum or the previous album, LTR? I seem to remember you not liking about half the songs on When I Pretend to Fall...

Naster's holdin' down the fort over at Creekside. Just back from Pitchfork and leaving in about four hours for Colorado. Crazy.

Hope you're having fun, TJ!
